How bar code scanning can improve the efficiency of your window cleaning regime

Not Just Cleaning utilise the latest bar code scanning and mobile data capture systems to improve security and increase the efficiency of the window cleaning regime, but how does it work?

NJC window cleaning staff are provided with PDA's which incorporate a bar code scanner. They also have an identity photocard with its own unique bar code. NJC agree the frequency of window cleaning tasks with the customer which creates job schedules for the window cleaning operative. They are uploaded direct to the PDA when the operative scans in. Bar code tags are placed at strategic locations (i.e. awkward access areas, entrances etc.) The operative will scan the bar code prior to starting the touring job and again on completion.

This provides critical management data regarding task frequencies, task duration and security. It also has the additional benefit of monitoring start and finish times of the window cleaning staff. Also, the customer has evidence and peace of mind that awkward areas have been accessed and cleaned and not missed, which is often the case.
